2006 Monthly Meetings
Here’s a review of our 2006 meetings and programs.
JULY
There was no July meeting due to the fourth of July holiday.
APRIL
Everyone brought paintings for our quarterly critique. Mary Ann Stafford won the People’s Choice Award.
JANUARY
Sandy Felton presented our program.
OCTOBER
Amy Hill-Imler showed us how easy it is to create an abstract painting.
NOVEMBER
Mike Mahon critiqued our paintings.
MARCH
Lois Davis showed us a technique for sunlight & shadows she learned in Maggie’s workshop
FEBRUARY
Lyuba Bogan demonstrated the old master’s technique of painting in values of gray before adding color.
MAY
Chris Webber from Michael’s in North Little Rock gave a talk on archival and preservation framing of pastel paintings.
JUNE
Ovita Goolsby showed us how to draw hands. Values must be right for the painting to be right.
DECEMBER
Our final meeting of the year was our Christmas party and installation of officers.
SEPTEMBER
David Cook talked to us about “how to get started and keep going” with your art.
AUGUST
Dominique Simmons, painted an imaginary landscape using a linear approach.
